An Exceptional Experience: For our 10th anniversary, my husband made reservations at the Brazilian Tropicana Restaurant in Pompano Beach, Florida. Due to the fact we had a reservation, we were escorted to our dining table in a very short time. Once we were seated our waiter came and gave us some suggestions on what to order.
Rodizio was the dish the waiter strongly suggested, so that is what we ordered. Rodizio is a meat lover's dream come true, with a variety of different Brazilian style char-broiled meats positioned on skewers. Along with the delectable meats we had tasty garlic and onion sautéed rice, black beans, and fried bananas.
I am a salad buff so I ordered the salad bar. The location of the salad bar was a bit of a jaunt from our table, but it was worth it. The salad bar was packed with more salad toppings than I had ever seen. The bar offers a wide range of exotic drinks, the one I tried was the Caipirinha; made with rum from Brazil, lime, and sugar.
Our dinner and show combined was $26.95 a piece, and that was the price with any menu selection, which we felt was very reasonable. The entertainment was spectacular, showing us different aspects of the Brazilian culture through dance and music.
Overall our experience at the Brazilian Tropicana was exceptional.
