Location. Treasure Island Resort overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay in Panama City Beach, Florida. A mile and a half from St. Andrews State Park, the resort enjoys a location convenient to all the area offers. A wide variety of recreational activities are available in the area, including parasailing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, surfing and boogie boarding.
Hotel Features. This condominium style resort, completed in 2005, has a tropical flavor with modern amenities. The view from the outdoor pool is fantastic, presenting the illusion of actually being on the beach, and there is a separate pool for children. A gazebo next to the pool provides solace from the sun. There is a fitness room on site with modern equipment and a sauna for guest use. For recreation, there is a game room and billiards table. Barbeque grills are located on the property for outdoor grilling.
Guestrooms. Each of the units at Treasure Island feature unique dTcor. Full kitchens with granite countertops, double wide refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and microwave ovens allow for complete autonomy. Washers and dryers are also standard. Every unit features cable television and video players, and some have high speed Internet access. Private balconies are great for relaxing and, provide fantastic views.
Expert Tip. Two highly acclaimed public golf courses are located just a mile and a half from the resort, The Meadows and the Nicklaus Course, formerly Lagoon Legends. The Meadows measures 6,942 yards from the championship tees and was designated as the number one slope rated course in the continental United States, while the Nicklaus Course opened in late 2005 to rave reviews.
