Beaches - Information

Sandy beaches account for one of the biggest allures of today’s travel industry.  Not every beach is created equal.  On the contrary, they are as diverse as the nature that created them.  Some people base there entire vacation around the quality and perfection of there chosen beach.  Whether you are a honeymooning couple looking for those first steps as a team together in the powder puff sand or a long time family collecting sea shells for the new house, there is a beach for you.  Even a relatively quaint city like Key West has four public beaches and many small spots to stop right off the Overseas Highway, which runs parallel to the Overseas Rail Road.  This two by four mile island caters to the clothing optional crowd as well as the family complete with snorkeling gear. Key West beaches are splendid and compact, filled with all the water sports one would expect at such a tropical destination. Beaches in Key West are located around the island.  The sound of the waves that crash upon the sand is like the philharmonic orchestra of nature.  This sound is so soothing some believe it has medicinal properties.  Packaged on a CD or tape you can be transported back to the wistful days of your last vacation, all the while having your cares and worries float out with the tide.  The smell of coco-nutty sweet and salty air fills your nose as the sand gently caresses your bare feet.  The refreshing Ocean meeting the beach invites a sun glazed traveler to take a dip and float a while.  Once your cares and stresses of everyday life are fully expelled an Ice cream cone or Pina Colada is the perfect segway to that nap you pan on indulging in one of the Key West Hammocks provided for you by your beachfront hotel. If you feel a little adventure creeping into your bones then a parasailing or Jet Ski rental off the beach may be the next in a long line of adventures just waiting for you in many convenient locations.  There are a few things to remember when planning your Key West Beach vacation.  Proximity to your Bed and breakfast, guesthouse, condo, motel, or Hotel is very important.  It will usually cost more money to stay with in walking distance so compare that to the cost of transportation as well.  By getting all the information needed to make a good decision your next Beach experience might just be your best vacation ever.
